The Crossings

Updated: Jan 9, 2023

There are three crossings in the Lord and they each hold within them the meaning of the true Hebrew, of whom our father Abraham was first. Abraham received the covenant.

And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land [that is] not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites [is] not yet full. And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites (emphasis mine). Genesis 15:12-21

Here is one of the most profound covenants found in all religion and within the covenant, the Lord tells Abraham about bondage. It will be a foreshadowing of the salvation and deliverance of mankind, speaking specifically to Abraham’s seed.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise (emphasis mine). Galatians 3:26-29

Abraham, the first Hebrew (to cross over… from a region beyond), carried within him the baptism of the Red Sea by the word of the Lord in covenant. His people would go into bondage for four hundred years, then they would come out. The Red Sea crossing was inside that word.

The Red Sea baptism was generational deliverance. Four hundred years of Abraham’s people defiled through the bondage of the perverse system that infiltrated and hijacked the world, continually confining, restraining and limiting them. The order of the system only cares about those whom it deems elite. All others it steals, kills and destroys. But, the baptism of the Red Sea cleansed them from the sin and pain of the world, bringing them into the outer court. It represented salvation, not only to Israel, but all humanity… whomsoever would believe. The Sea swallowing up their generational issues of bondage, they were saved; we were made free. This was revealed to Abraham from the beginning. He walked the rest of his life carrying the knowledge and hope of this crossing of salvation inside him.

Next, we have the second crossing, the crossing of the Jordan. This Abraham also held within his bosom.

The covenant contained within it, the crossing of the Jordan River. The coming into the inner court, the knowledge of the promises. The intimacy with Jesus. Taking up residence with Him. Occupying.

And Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over. And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host; And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it. Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed [this] way heretofore. And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you. And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people (emphasis mine). Joshua 3:1-6

We’re following after the box, that mercy seat. This is the inner court knowledge of God. The revelation of the Word, His presence. The beginning of transformation into His image. The intimate face to face relationship of the candlestick. The fire is kindled.

The second crossing takes us into the beginning of our inheritance. It requires the covenant of the circumcision.

The crossing over the Jordan led them straight to circumcision. Just like the renewing of Abraham’s covenant required circumcision.

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I [am] the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant [is] with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This [is] my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise (destroy) the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. Genesis 17:1-11

The Lord had made the covenant with Abraham in Genesis chapter 15. But here He reiterates the covenant and then adds a requirement… the destruction of the flesh nature. You don’t receive the Lord’s promise without it. You don’t enter into the fullness of the promised land without it. Just like Jesus’s descent into Jordan’s baptism took Him straight into the wilderness to have His identity tested when He met the devil face to face. It’s where you begin to wrestle the enemy of your soul for sonship. Jesus had been circumcised on the eighth day of His life, but He had to yield Himself to the death of His natural identity, His psuche identity, in the descent of the Jordan. An in order to fully take on His spiritual identity, He had to believe, in the face of all opposition, His Father’s words when He yielded Himself there at Jordan…

And if we can receive it, it is highly likely the Lord Jesus did something else at Jordan. He prophetically overcame the enemy. The antiChrist.

JorDAN - to descend from Dan. Dan is the tribe that is left out in the Book of Revelation. Dan is not sealed.

And I heard the number of them which were sealed: [and there were] sealed an hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Of the tribe of Juda [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Aser [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Simeon [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin [were] sealed twelve thousand. Revelation 7:4-8

Dan, of the twelve tribes of Israel. Not only did he ultimately reject the place that fell to him by Joshua’s lot, but he relocated on his own presumptions to the upper regions of the North, brutally taking a city of peace that was never allotted to him and ultimately receiving the golden calf and falling into Pan/Baphomet worship. But that’s not why he is missing…

We know the heritage of his tribe is not listed in 1 Chronicles (starting at chapter 4), with the other Hebrew tribes, nor, as already mentioned, is it listed in the Book of Revelation being sealed by the angel of the Lord to be protected in the end of times like the other tribes are (Revelation 7:4-8).

We know that Dan is the serpent in the Way.

We see from this scripture that he is likely the serpent that causes the great falling away.

We know he is Freemasonry’s counterfeit of Jesus, Hiram Abiff, the supposed builder of Solomon’s temple, who was of the tribe of Dan. I trust you to research Hiram Abiff on your own if you do not already know this important Freemason legend. He offers a counterfeit resurrection life.

The Lord shows us that it is most likely Dan who bruises the heel of “her seed,” the Christians (known as followers of The Way.) The heel is the footprint and wherever you go in life, you leave one – your legacy – whether it’s in and through Jesus Christ or of your own personal ambitions. Dan’s was removed, so the enemy works very hard to see to it that we leave no legacy, no footprint. He works hard to see to it that we backslide and fall and remain fallen. He, in fact, is a soul trafficker.

Dan is, also a type of Judas, who, as one of another twelve, sold Jesus out for silver. Judas was the financial man – the bankster. He was the betrayer from Judah. It is very likely that our Father was betrayed by one of His twelve, just like Jesus was betrayed by one of His twelve.

(I borrowed these paragraphs above about Dan from another book I’m writing called Samson. And it’s just a theory that it turns out I am not alone in considering… from the things I’ve studied over the years and prayer.)

The Jordan is the descent that starts the new inner court life. It is the diminishing of us and the increase of Him. It is the baptism of Jesus. The fire. The Spirit. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. This Jordan is where all of this starts. Abraham received the seed, the Word of this occupying, hidden in his covenant when our Father promised him the land that would have to be crossed over into. The Hebrew is at his 60 percent increase here. He is on his way to transformation into the image of the Son. Oneness with God.

Then finally, there is the third crossing, the 100 percent increase. Abraham came to know this too. The atmospheric river. The place in the Spirit of the holiest of holies where we are reconciled to our Father and He makes His abode with us. Abraham became the bosom of life.

Now, we cross this atmospheric river when we are resurrected in the body and we are in an instant changed. Where corruption puts on incorruption.

It’s the fulfillment of our inheritance to become utterly, incorruptibly immortal. It’s the most profound beginning of a new life anyone could ever think to imagine. And as much as we have this natural crossing still awaiting us, we have a spiritual one we can journey towards right now.

Jesus went before us and made the way.

Jesus was transported. He journeyed up into Heaven. And it wasn’t the first time. Let’s look at this again.

Mary’s touch had the capacity to alter Jesus. We know that He was handled later when He showed Himself and remained among His disciples for forty days. What was this moment? He said He was ascending to His God and our God. So what did Jesus do when He ascended to our Father?

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament [is], there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament [is] of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first [testament] was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This [is] the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

[It was] therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, [which are] the figures of the TRUE; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation (emphasis mine). Hebrews 9:11-28

Is this what happened when He first ascended? He died, was buried, went into hell, then spoke with Mary, then ascended to present and sprinkle His blood?

Look what Jesus did! He put away sin. And… So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

What else happened on that initial ascension visit after resurrecting? Could it be…

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four [and] twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever (emphasis mine). Revelation 5:1-14

It seems that it is possible that this whole chapter in the Book of Revelation happened upon Jesus’s arrival while still bloody. We know that when He appeared later to the disciples He was flesh and bone. His blood had already been applied.

What we find in the incredible account of Jesus, in the fifth chapter of the Book of Revelation, is that Jesus presents Himself as the Lion as the Tribe of Judah who prevailed and as the Lamb who was slain. I believe that it is probable that this account that John was shown, details what happened when Jesus first ascended. It was most likely the biggest moment in Heaven up until that time. We find tens of thousands of angels rejoicing. It is a monumental ceremony in Heaven. Another interesting point is that the prayers of the saints are part of the ceremony. Our prayers are not only incredibly important, but enormously holy and they make us partakers of Heaven’s highest moments. Earth’s too.

The third crossing over is when our own spiritual ascension will become the basis of our walk.

It’s where we go to see our Father and our God. The Church is not teaching too much about this and when it does, it’s basically a fiasco. It is not something that can be conjured and should never be done by our own will. We do not teleport ourselves. We do not project ourselves anywhere. We are not New Age. It’s a crossing that is pure and holy.

It’s the place we cross over into our heavenly places in the Spirit. We can go into our Father’s heart and press past the first heaven, into the second heaven and finally into the third heaven – the outer court, the inner court and into the holies of holies to see and experience and come to know the Kingdom of His Son. A vast land of the mountain of the Lord and holiness and awe. A journeying that makes life on earth most gratifying and satisfying, even when you outwardly have nothing. Own nothing. Are nothing. When you find it, you have everything.
